New England Forensic Mental Health Services (NEFMHS) was established to provide mental health assessments for alleged offenders appearing before the courts of NSW.

We prepare judicial reports for our clients for presentation to the courts and liaise with community service providers to ensure best practice outcomes. The practice speciality is forensic mental health and we offer comprehensive assessment and the development of appropriate, structured management plans. Judicial reports can also be provided for complex mental health presentations and sexual offending behaviours.

We offer private assessment for court matters in New England Region of NSW. For clients residing outside of the New England Region of NSW environs, we offer assessment though audio-visual link. Appointments can be arranged outside normal business hours.

Forensic Mental Health Assessment and NSW Court Report Preparation:

Dr Lesley Douglas is the principal consultant for NEFMHS. She will perform all interviews for clients appearing before the courts in NSW. Dr Douglas has over 20-years experience working at a senior, autonomous level completing forensic mental health assessments and where appropriate, constructing community-based treatment plans for each individual client.

All clients will receive a comprehensive written report.
